Local Councillors have congratulated our local police team on their highly successful 'Operation Akuna' - a week long night time operation to reduce drug related street nuisance around Kingsgate Estate.
Key arrests were made including 8 for possession of class A & class B drugs, as well as the arrest of an illegal immigrant known to police for drug dealing. The person now awaits deportation.
The team also arerested a man for the posession of an offensive weapon, as well as conducting 117 stop and searches and 46 stop and accounts, 22 of which resulted in arrests.
