The One Hackney Festival 2012 is taking place on the 21st of July to welcome the arrival of the Olympic Flame to our borough.
There will be a street parade on the day ending in Clissold Park, where a mass celebration dance will be held to the specially-composed Hackney Anthem.
There will also be a Festival Fringe extending the celebrations to Hackney's town centres, with food, performance and music throughout the borough.
The aim of the Festival is community participation, whether taking part in the parade itself, joining in with the Fringe events or meeting the Olympic Flame as it arrives.
Hackney Council are looking for people to be part of the festival - as part of the parade - and to feature in the borough-wide events on the day.
If you think you have something to offer, or know of local talent that should be featured, contact Keith Khan Associates who are the organisers on behalf of Hackney Council.
