Festivities commence with the Hoxton Street Party featuring street dance, circus acts, theatre shows and many more activities.
Over the coming two weeks there will also be events on the canal between Dunston Road and Whitmore Bridge and a dog show in Shoreditch Park when locals residents can enter their dogs into categories including Best Looking Girl and Boy and Waggiest Tail.
