Big London Energy Switch

Hackney is one of the 20 boroughs participating in the Big London Energy Switch which is being co-ordinated by London Councils, which represents London local authorities. The aim of the scheme is to help vulnerable residents to get cheaper gas and electricity.

The Energy Switch is a collective switching scheme which allows a group of consumers to negotiate a better deal with gas and electricity suppliers. The negotiation is done by a third party and Hackney Council is helping to facilitate this.

Anyone who pays a household energy bill can take part including tenants and those on prepayment meters. There is no cost to signing up and no obligation to accept any offers presented to consumers.

For further details and to register your interest visit the website or contact Hackney Service Centre on 0802 356 4422.
