Estate agent told to take down misleading signs

Estate agent Douglas Allen has been instructed by Hackney Council to remove misleading advertising boards from the De Beauvoir area.

When confronted by Hackney Commercial Standards officers, Douglas Allen aknowledged the complaint - made by local councillors - and will now remove misleading adverts on De Beauvoir Road.

If you see Douglas Allen, or any other estate agent, repeat this offence in our area please get in touch with local councillors or Commercial Standards officers at Hackney Council.

It is not permitted for estate agents to use the practice known as 'Hoax Boarding' on any property operated by Hackney Homes.
