Safer crossing for Southgate Road and Baring Street

Councillors have sucessfully campaigned with residents and local schools to see funding made available for a zebra crossing to be introduced on Baring Street, at the bottom of Southgate Road.

This is an extremely busy road used by schoolchildren and parents at often the busiest times of the day.

We're delighted with this outcome - being on the border of two boroughs, it involved often complex negotiations between our own Labour Hackney and Lib Dem run Islington.

There will be a statutory consultation on the safety improvements. If you'd like to take part in that consultation, or would like further information, please get in touch.
