Haggerston Park's Big Screen - this weekend


Big Screen at Haggerston Park
With Team GB winning its first gold medals on Wednesday London 2012 is hotting.

Enjoy the great atmosphere at Haggerston Park’s Big Screen this weekend, with family and friends, when some of the most exciting events in the London Olympics take place. Refreshments and food from around the world is also on offer on site.


Friday
At lunchtime or after work, why not go to Haggerston Park as the weather is expected to be lovely and sunny as the Olympic stadium opens and the track and field events start.

From 4pm:
  • Cycling (track) including Britain’s Victoria Pendleton and GB’s men’s team pursuit
  • Swimming finals including backstroke, butterfly and freestyle
  • Athletics including: men’s 1,500m heats, shot put final, women’s 10,000m final and women’s heptathlon 200m heats
Saturday
  • The fastest man on earth, Usain Bolt, is in the men’s 100m heats
  • Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is likely to be in the women’s 100m final
  • Britain’s Mo Farah will hopefully be in 10,000m final
  • Britain’s Dai Greene should be in the 400m hurdles semi-finals
  • Team GB’s Jessica Ennis is likely to be in the women’s heptathlon 800m final
  • Women’s discus final
  • Tennis women’s singles gold medal match
  • Cycling in the velodrome features GB’s women’s team pursuit
Sunday
  • The 100m final should be one of the most exciting ever. Usain Bolt faces stiff competition from compatriot Yohan Blake. Tyson Gay and Justin Gatlin from the USA are expected to give them a run for their money
  • Women’s triple jump final with Britain’s Yamile Aldama up for gold
  • Men’s hammer throw final
  • Women’s 400m final
  • Men’s 1,500m semi-finals
  • Tennis men’s singles finals gold medal match – will Andy Murray win at Wimbledon?
  • First ever women’s Olympic boxing match
  • Cycling (track), Ed Clancy won gold in Beijing
