An SPA is used to limit the growth of licensed premises in areas that already have a large amount of such establishments.
An SPA can also help the council to work with the Police and licensees to manage the impact of these areas on residents and visitors.
The proposed SPA will stretch from Stoke Newington High Street down to the junction of Middleton Road and Kingsland Road here in De Beauvoir (map).
There are two drop-in sessions being held for residents and businesses to find out more.
Monday 2nd September, 4pm - 8pm at Dalston C.L.R. Library, 240 Dalston Lane, E8 3AZ.
Saturday 28 September , 10am - 4pm at Kingsland Shopping Centre, Kingsland High Street, E8 2NE.
