Hackney Foodbank

The Hackney foodbank provides emergency food to Hackney residents in crisis. All food given out is donated by the local community.
In the current economic climate the need for emergency food is at its greatest and the foodbank went through twice its normal stock in May and is now running desperately low on supplies.

Can you help by donating any items from the Foodbank shopping list? (items in bold are most in need).

Milk (UHT or powdered)
Sugar (500g)
Fruit Juice (carton)
Tinned meat/fish
Tinned Fruit
Tinned vegetables
500g bags of rice
Biscuits/snack bars
Rice pudding (tinned)
Pasta Sauces
Sponge pudding (tinned)
Tomatoes (tinned)
Tea Bags/Instant Coffee
Instant mash potato
Baked Beans

Our local collection point is:
Lockner Estate community flat, 23 Blandford Court, St Peters Way N1 4SA, where you can donate supplies on Tuesdays between 12p-4pm.

Donations can also be taken directly to the foodbank anytime during standard office hours at the Safestore on Somerford Grove in Stoke Newington. Alternately, they can be arranged to be dropped off at the foodbank office by emailing
